Referee of the Year 2020

The Editors of the British Journal for the Philosophy of Science are delighted to announce that the Referee of the Year for 2020 is Finnur Déllsen (University of Iceland).

As we’ve mentioned recently, refereeing in 2020 was more burdensome than ever, and probably felt more thankless too. We are enormously grateful to all our referees for playing their part in ensuring our joint project—philosophy of science—continues.

But in every cohort of BJPS referees there is a chosen one: a referee who agreed to review numerous papers, did so in a timely fashion, and returned insightful reports, helpful to editors and authors alike. We are in the lucky position that the competition for the top spot is always fierce, but Finnur was this year’s clear winner.

Winners become Honorary Members of the British Society for the Philosophy of Science, a life-time position.
